Before we begin the application process, we here at Metzler Bros. Transport would like to thank you for your time and interest in our company. We have many qualifications for our drivers and have provided the qualifications below for you to read before completing and submitting your application. Hiring Qualifications
Driver Applicants will be required to do the following:
- Complete an application for employment
- Complete and pass a road test
- Provide previous employer information
- Submit to a DOT drug test (pre-employment)
- Pass a DOT physical examination
- Sign a driver's license compliance form
- Authorize a driver's license check
- Comply with any other company requirements stated at the time of application

Insurance Guidelines
- Minimum age of 25 (although 23 may be acceptable if the driver's record is clear)
- No DUI's or reckless violations in the past 4 - 5 years
- No more than three moving violations in the past 3 years
- DOT long form physical for drivers over the age of 65
- At least two years experience in similar equipment
Major Moving Violations are:
- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI or DWI)
- Reckless Driving
- Any felony operation of a motor vehicle
- Hit and run
- Racing
- Driving without a license
- Three or more license suspensions

Employment Reference Checks
To ensure that individuals who join Metzler Bros Transport are qualified and have a strong potential to be productive and successful, it is our policy to check the employment references and employment history of all applicants.
Metzler Bros Transport reserves the right to conduct the following types of checks both prior to employment and at any time during the course of your employment;
* Criminal Checks * Credit Checks * Driver's License Checks * Breath or other alcohol analysis
* Urine, or other specific screens for use of controlled substances
